Emilia A. Ottoo is a recipient of the 2014 Women’s Beacon of Light Award by the Phoenix Sorority of Minisink in Harlem, New York! In prestigious company of graduate, artist and healing activist Monique Johnson, and founding mothers of the Minisink Spirit Inc.  and the Phoenix Sorority Sharmin M. Gray and Theodora V. Mason, these ladies were awarded for their accomplishments, commitment to their communities, as well as going beyond the call of duty for the betterment of others.
